Designing a striking prospectus cover
Following an in-depth analysis of the University’s messaging strategy towards prospective students and their parents, the University envisioned a new-look prospectus sporting its core message “I chose Worcester” for its 2022/23 campaign.
The front cover needed to be as golden as the University’s newly built library and school of medicine. To capture the perfect tone to resonate with its branding, our Creative team was brought in. The result? A prospectus with a foil-blocked, golden cover that created a standout “wow” moment when students picked it up.
To elevate the tactile experience, the University opted for uncoated paper. Our dedicated production team tackled the challenge of printing the vibrant images onto absorbent uncoated paper stock. With the aid of uncoated epson high-resolution proofs and our colour management systems, we ensured every image was perfect.
Revolutionising Prospectus Content
Following on from the success of the 2022/23 campaign, the University wanted to update the prospectus content for the 2023/24 edition.
Our task was to make the prospectus an all-in-one marketing tool – showcasing the University, its facilities and the vibrant city life in a way that urged prospective students to pick Worcester as their new home.
To ensure its content hit the bullseye, and to eliminate guesswork, our Insight team hosted a workshop to understand how the prospectus stacked up against its competitors. Together, we dissected the contents of the existing prospectus, fine-tuning the layout and course pages for maximum clarity and easy navigation.
Looking into the future
After our state-of-the-art facility completed the printing of the prospectuses, we also stored them at our warehousing and distribution centre in the East Midlands, ready for bulk deliveries to the University and for on-demand personalised mailings direct to prospective students as they requested them.
As we look to the future, preliminary work on the 2024/25 prospectus is already under way. Our team is ready and excited to rise to the occasion once again, and to work alongside the University of Worcester to take its prospectus to new heights.
