When stamps got stranger

Linney helped Royal Mail launch a Stranger Things stamp collection with a high‑impact, multi‑platform campaign.

January marked the release of Royal Mail stamps and souvenirs celebrating Stranger Things, the genre-busting series combining horror, sci-fi and 1980s nostalgia. Linney filmmakers, designers, project managers and writers collaborated with Netflix and Royal Mail on a multi-channel operation that included a teaser film which was viewed more than six million times within four days of its release.

Linney life’s been turned upside down for a Create team immersed in a four-month project to unleash dark supernatural forces on an unsuspecting world.

Days after the final episode of Stranger Things, Linney client Royal Mail released a special stamp issue featuring the show’s beloved characters and mysterious monsters.

It was a key moment for a Create team that spent four months working on YouTube videos, social media animations. billboards, posters, publications and a podcast.

This was a high-pressure, high-profile campaign. Throughout it all, the team remained calm, creative and collaborative.
