Being based in Coventry, our clients sponsor a range of events on the city’s cultural calendar. When annual motor festival MotoFest announced E.ON as its lead partner, we were the natural choice to help showcase its sustainable transport solutions. Our first installation included an interactive digital display screen and photo booth, a DJ booth and a tiered viewing platform overlooking the festival’s racing Circuit. Across the city at the War Memorial Park, we were the support act of choice for E.ON Next at Godiva Festival, a three-day event which attracts more than 90,000 visitors. Here, we designed and built our second installation, ‘The Power Up Hub’, a relaxing spot for festivalgoers to charge their phones for free using 100% renewable electricity – and boost their own batteries on a bespoke kinetic swing and dance floor.
Our third project formed part of a broader E.ON Next campaign to raise awareness of the Next Pledge, a tariff guaranteed to keep customers’ energy prices £50 below the Ofgem price cap. We installed a 10-metre-high baseball cap structure on London’s Thames Path as a visual representation of the campaign platform ‘Life’s better under the cap’. Visitors could enjoy free merchandise, snacks and massages, as well as the opportunity to chat to our client’s ‘Nexties’ about signing up to the Next Pledge tariff.
Our client said: “It was a full circle-moment walking through Holborn and seeing a little boy with our cap on. I was so proud.”
