Powerful E.ON project sheds light on unseen disabilities

An arresting new campaign aims to raise awareness of the often-unseen challenges faced in the workplace

An arresting new campaign aims to raise awareness of the often-unseen challenges faced in the workplace by people with disabilities or chronic illness.

The Linney team partnered with E.ON to develop The E.ON OffCentre, an immersive interactive experience that invites colleagues to step into the shoes of those living with such challenges, helping to foster empathy and understanding throughout the E.ON business and beyond.

As part of the activation, participants wear headsets that simulate sensory overload, glasses that mimic blurred or tunnel vision and weighted or heated vests to replicate fatigue and temperature fluctuations.

“These simulations offer a powerful glimpse into the daily realities many people face, realities that often go unnoticed,” said a Linney account manager.

At the heart of The E.ON OffCentre campaign is a film created in collaboration with our Film and Animation team, featuring the real stories of three E.ON colleagues living with invisible disabilities.

Through honest and emotional reflections, they share how these conditions impact both their personal and professional lives. Thoughtfully produced and authentically told, the film has already received strong engagement from senior stakeholders at E.ON.

The overarching goal is to encourage more people to engage with The E.ON OffCentre, not only to experience the physical effects of these conditions but also to connect with the lived experiences behind them.

It’s a powerful initiative, sparking meaningful conversations around inclusion, empathy and awareness in the workplace.
