Poet promotes green space

George the Poet supports The Wildlife Trusts’ Nextdoor Nature campaign

Acclaimed performer George the Poet was a key part of the Linney Film and Animation team’s successful work for The Wildlife Trusts’ Nextdoor Nature campaign, launched to coincide with the Queen’s Jubilee to promote green spaces in urban areas.

We wanted to reach as many people as possible, so we proposed a spoken word piece, and knew immediately we wanted to work with George the Poet. We felt that engaging him would amplify the creativity and reach of the project. We filmed with George in Manchester, Swansea, Essex and Staffordshire.

The film and photographs were released in May and featured across social media, BBC Radio 4 and publications such as Hello! magazine.
