Fields of Straw

A Linney drone captured dawn on the farm as our client Strawson headed into its busy harvest period

It was a 4.30am start for our  photography and film crew,  who were in Cotes, near Loughborough to capture the process of harvesting cereals.

The team shot everything from early morning landscapes to close ups of the giant combine harvesters in action. “This was the third in a series
of shoots following the yearround activities of the Strawson business,” said Sean Hukins.

“Alongside stills photography, we used a drone to capture shots of the vast fields and the impressive hi-tech harvesting machinery at work. Seeing the scale of the operation from above added a whole new perspective, highlighting just how much precision and coordination goes into the harvest.

“It was a fast-paced shoot” added Sean. “We had to think on our feet to avoid being part of the harvest. It was a long but rewarding day and we captured some great shots. “Our next visit will be during winter – so we’ll need to dig out our wellies and fleeces."
