A place to call home

Bringing Action for Children's campaign to life

Linney teamed up with charity Action for Children to create a stunning sustainable house as the centrepiece of a campaign focusing on the needs of children in care.

Action for Children, which provides practical and emotional support for vulnerable children and young people, worked with Linney to build a symbolic printed cardboard house to raise awareness of what home means for children in care.

Our 3D team worked with the charity’s designer to create a fully sustainable house, 1.9m x 1.22m x 1.8m in size, that could be easily assembled and dismantled, with a front panel able to work as a standalone piece, so the house could be moved around the country as needed.

The first outing for this spectacular piece was to the Houses of Parliament, to launch Action for Children’s "A Place to Call Home" campaign on 9 September. The house was also showcased at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool that month.

The brand and creative account manager for Action for Children was full of praise and thanks for Linney colleagues and the whole production team: “It’s been wonderful to collaborate with Linney and bring our creative vision to life. The 3D house spotlights the lived experiences of children and young people in care and care-experienced people – past and present. We hope it will help raise much-needed awareness of our A Place to Call Home campaign.”
