Crafting creative retail displays
Owing to its rapid growth and innovative product line, Revolution Beauty faced a critical challenge: creating a visually engaging retail presence within crowded marketplaces like Superdrug and Boots. The quest for a creative partner capable of crafting budget-conscious yet captivating in-store displays led the brand to Linney through a retailer recommendation.
Beginning a display transformation
As a challenger brand to the beauty market, Revolution Beauty wanted its retail displays to aid product discovery. Keen to enhance its retail presentation and standout in the bustling cosmetics aisle, our creative team produced an example unit and sent it down to Revolution headquarters as an early Christmas present – the delivery driver even donned a Santa hat! Implementation started in January, with the first unit hitting the shops in April.
Bespoke creative design
Our designers met with the broader team to ensure creative excellence with in-depth brand onboarding. This ensured our team felt like an extension of Revolution’s marketing department, and the refreshed designs reflected the brand’s ethos of beauty for everyone.
For the freestanding display pictured, our structural engineers constructed floating shelves offering playful and engaging promotions, and a large 3D mascara lug-on ensured the displays were seen and remembered. This retail design, exclusive to Superdrug with 312 bespoke units, was fulfilled nationwide from our head office in the Midlands.
Choosing insight-filled displays
Our collaboration resulted in a transformative look for Revolution Beauty. Superdrug endorsed the refreshed displays as a “whole new look”.
Since scaling up display production, our team has also produced gondola ends, hot spots, and trays to support in-store campaigns. Using multiple touchpoints, Revolution can ensure its marketing makes the most of in-store opportunities. The team is also looking at boosting display cost-effectiveness through insight.
