Linney’s film and events teams have hosted a Christmas get-together with a difference.

Greetings card and gift retailer Card Factory’s virtual gathering of regional and store managers was held at Linney’s in-house broadcast studio for the second successive year. The technically challenging conference involved an eight-hour live stream of speakers and films to an audience of almost 1,500 and a presentation by Card Factory’s CEO, who was broadcasting from Spain. Delegates were also invited to break out into 36 different virtual rooms to learn more about Card Factory’s Christmas strategy in their regions.

 

The Linney set-build team transformed the studio into a living room with a fireplace decked out with cards and decorations. Gifts and toys from the Card Factory festive range were placed under Christmas trees. The event was an opportunity for the business to share its new products with store teams, along with its festive marketing and in-branch branding – also created at Linney.

This was one of our most demanding virtual events so far. It was a real Linney team effort by the crew who built the set, the events team who made sure the technical aspects went without a hitch and the camera operators, producers and editors who captured the live presentations and pre-recorded material.

 

The fact that Linney Create designers also developed the Card Factory Christmas 2021 campaign concepts made this a gift of a project.
