Vision for the future
We’ve been busy helping our eyecare specialist client to break new ground in online retail. Bondeye Optical is a leading wholesale supplier to the eyecare industry. From optical equipment and eyewear to software and PPE, the company works with independent and chain opticians.
Moving online
As ‘at-home’ eyecare poses an increasing threat to retail on the high street, the family run brand took the bold step to move into the online D2C (Direct to Consumer) market, via Amazon.
Storage space
To support Bondeye’s online transition, we took on responsibility for storage of up to 4,000 different Bondeye products, as well as e-fulfilment and distribution. With Linney’s warehousing and fulfilment services, Bondeye customers are ensured of a slick, end-to-end ordering process.
Combined approach
Our bespoke warehouse management system is now integrated with Bondeye’s Sage order processing solution. We’ve also implemented rigorous batch control and stock procedures, meaning expiry dates are constantly monitored.
The results
Linney now helps Bondeye process around 29,000 orders a year – with over 304,000 items successfully delivered from our Mansfield warehouse to customers across the UK and Republic of Ireland in one year.
