Ronseal’s “best ever” display ends

Our eye-catching LED point of sale displays mixed up a sales success for the DIY brand

At Linney, we’re always looking for ways to help brands catch customers’ eyes from the shelves. And by getting inventive with display end point of sale, we’ve achieved that – and helped boost sales – for one popular brand.

The challenge

We were asked by Sherwin Williams to help promote a new fence sprayer from its Ronseal brand, which applies liquid colour preservers to fences and sheds. An eye-catching POS display was needed for aisle ends in home improvement stores, which could quickly demonstrate the product’s core features.

The idea

Linney suggested three different approaches, each with a unique way of demonstrating the spray technology as part of a themed display.

The approach chosen used engaging, sequential LED lights to illustrate different spray patterns.

We also provided video guides to help in-store teams and merchandisers build and display the finished units for maximum impact.

The result

Displayed in over 300 stores nationally, the units helped grow sales of the fence sprayers by 65% and accessories by 118% – the best-performing POS unit our client had ever displayed.
