How Linney created and delivered almost eight million items in 350,000 fundraising packs

 

The challenge

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is a fundraising event supporting people living with cancer. Each year, Macmillan Cancer Support encourages people across the UK to host their own Coffee Mornings, with donations on the day made to Macmillan.

It’s the largest fundraiser in the charity’s calendar, so the support materials despatched to volunteers staging their own coffee mornings need to be attractive, effective – and delivered in good time.

Linney’s role

Macmillan Cancer Support invited us to produce and despatch fundraising packs for The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2017. As the charity’s largest annual activity – the 2016 event raised £29.7 million – it’s vital for volunteers to be equipped with all they need to make their get-together a success.

The packs contain various marketing and support items, including a folder, posters, leaflets, recipe cards, money box, stickers and tent cards. We created most of the collateral in-house and managed external suppliers to produce the rest of the items, making sure they matched our quality and colours.

The result

We produced 7.8 million individual items of promotional material for around 350,000 packs for the campaign, which launched in July. Linney will also be delivering bespoke packs to Marks and Spencer’s stores across the UK as part of the retailer’s corporate partnership with Macmillan.
