The road to carbon neutral

Discover how we did it and what happens next

We’ve reached a major milestone on our mission to become the most sustainable and innovative business in our industry. Through mindful investment, procurement and procedural changes, we’re now certified as a carbon-balanced business.

Linney is one of only a handful of companies in the UK to receive this highly respected accreditation from the World Land Trust. This means we also help our customers reduce their environmental impact.

Through WLT’s initiatives, we can support its outstanding global conservation work and help tackle climate change through targeted carbon offsetting.

So, what are we doing?

We’re committed to cutting our energy consumption year-on-year.

We’re aggressively implementing renewable energy technologies to power our business.

We’re reducing waste by reusing, repurposing, retrading and recycling.

We’re slashing our CO2 emissions across our business – energy, transport, raw materials – and we’re working with our supply chain and clients to reduce their carbon emissions too.

We’re no stranger to innovation. We’ve evolved, responded, adapted and innovated for over 170 years. To have a positive impact on our environment, we’ve already achieved a great deal.

From renewable biomass boilers and electric car charging points, to planet-friendly inks and FSC approved paper.

What’s more, we are also signed up to the Climate Change Agreement and HRH Prince of Wales’ Terra Carta – two high-profile charters for 21st-century sustainability. Our EcoVadis certification further bolsters our credentials in respect of corporate social responsibility.

Those who elect to carbon balance gain the permission to feature the WLT Carbon Balanced Print logo on their printed items.

Business as usual is no longer an option – so here’s to a cleaner, greener future.
