Producing a manifold of menus for McMullen’s

Linney Quadrant worked with a long-standing brewer to help provide standout menus across its diverse pub, bar and restaurant portfolio.

BACKGROUND

McMullen & Sons, also known as McMullen’s, own over 130 freehold pubs, mainly in the Home Counties, with a number in London. McMullen’s was founded in 1827 by Peter McMullen and since then, the company has continued brewing in Hertford without a break. Over the years the family business has evolved to include traditional pubs and high street bars, along with affordable, food-focused pubs.

 THE CHALLENGE

McMullen’s approached Linney Quadrant in need of a reliable printer who could produce menus and POS for the different brands within the group. This was a complicated challenge for the client, who needed to reflect a unique look and feel for each venue while not compromising on quality and ensuring the menus were fit for purpose and would be long-lasting and durable in a restaurant setting.

 THE RESULT

 Linney Quadrant worked with McMullen’s to produce menus in hundreds of multiple designs, styles and sizes to suit every venue and each individual brand. We advised the client on different paper stocks so they could achieve the desired unique feel for each restaurant, with different laminated finishes to ensure the menu was protected from food and liquid spills for longevity. Where needed, we added further enhancements, such as foiling and gloss spot UV to provide extra standout.
