POPAI wins for Linney
Linney scoops top prizes in the Home & Garden and Sustainability categories at the annual POPAI awards.
Linney’s innovative in-store display for iconic DIY brand Ronseal has landed gold at an awards event celebrating creative excellence in retail marketing and POS.
The annual POPAI Awards recognise dedication to delivering enhanced customer experiences.
Our end-of-aisle display unit for Ronseal’s Fence Life products was awarded Gold in the Home & Garden category at October’s ceremony in London. Linney also picked up the top award for Sustainability – recognising our creation’s green credentials.
Ronseal commissioned us to create an eye-catching POS display for aisle ends in home improvement stores. Displayed in over 300 stores nationally, the units helped grow sales of the fence sprayers by 65% and accessories by 118% – the best-performing POS unit our client had ever displayed.
“This was a really great display that encourages the shopper to interact with the product,” judges said. “It was an eye-catching, disruptive solution versatile enough to fit different fixture sizes that also achieved great sales uplift and in-store feedback.”
Announcing our second win of the night, the Sustainability Award, the judges praised our fully recyclable cardboard design.
“Sheet waste was kept to a minimum,” added the judges. “Friction-fit locks were used rather than tapes or glue, and LED lights were easily removed before being recycled and subsequently re-used in another display. Delivered flat-packed and installed by merchandisers, instructions were provided by a video tutorial rather than the usual printed documentation, which is also estimated to have saved a tonne of paper.”
