The role

Reporting to our executive directors, you will be responsible for delivering financial and commercial business improvement to achieve portfolio growth and client retention. You will also ensure the progression and development of commercial management and governance in the Managed Services function.

Role objectives

This role will see you develop and implement commercial strategies in accordance with company goals and objectives, to achieve and accelerate growth. Assisting with the preparation and negotiation of contracts with customers, you will ensure that new customer commercial aspects are fully understood, agreed at Executive Board level and adhered to.

You will review and monitor the performance of customer contracts and commercial activities using key metrics and reports. You will make recommendations for improvements, ensuring commercial agreement compliance, while maximising profitability, developing retention strategies and identifying opportunities for improvement.

You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to implement strategies to drive revenue and business growth. You will be responsible for commercial modelling of new opportunities and potential revenue streams, interpreting market trends and adapting to industry changes. Your role with also see you coach, train and develop the Managed Services team to enhance their performance and ability to meet commercial objectives.

Essential skills

  • Proven experience as a commercial manager or other relevant role
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic and creative mindset
  • Excellent organisational and influencing skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Resilient and calm, but energetic with strong personal impact.
