Carefully timed PR helped Aquarian, part of Mars Fishcare, ride a fresh wave of interest and earn coverage in daily and weekly newspapers, their online pages, plus sites for both the pet trade and fish fans.

The content, written and distributed by Linney, was used almost verbatim by many outlets. It recommended choosing freshwater fish like goldfish as starter pets, rather than exotic varieties like the Dory character, a regal tang, which require specialist care.

Linney also provided monitoring of all coverage, and reporting on the print columns and web space earned through the activity.
